Many of them weren’t very helpful because they didn’t come with any recommendations. Others provide citations, but it was more difficult for Joe to understand their interpretation than reading the studies directly. Some of them did not cite the information they provided, which allowed them to make up some of the information and unable to be validated. The existing DNA analyzers on the market may have provided some information but they were extremely limited. That’s when he realized that there was a need for a comprehensive DNA analyzer. While doing the research and experimenting, he gathered information about many useful gene-specific interventions.Īfterward, he started reverse-engineering the same process for my clients to help them overcome their health issues. The health hacks that had the most positive impact for Joe were ones that addressed his genetic variants. He believes it may also be the reason he experienced mental health issues when eating lectins or did other things that worsen these genes’ functions.Īt the time, health bloggers were not writing about these genes and he wasn’t able to meaningfully analyze his data with the available DNA tools. Joe also had some rare SNP variations in the PPAR-gamma and serotonin receptors genes, which may explain his tendency to be Th1/Th17 dominant. All the while, I was eating a diet full of gluten and dairy, sleeping poorly, and living in a toxic environment. ![]() These rendered him especially susceptible to the negative effects of the Standard American Diet and lifestyle. Joe has said numerous times that he won the genetic lottery for a combination of rare bad genes, such as being homozygous for MTHFR C677T and CNR1 rs1049353. Instead, he started hitting breakthroughs when he dug into the research for himself and committed to experimenting with supplements, diets, and devices. He says that for years, he didn’t get results by following the advice of other bloggers, medical doctors, or even natural health practitioners. Joe said he started SelfDecode after struggling with numerous chronic health issues – such as limbic system problems (also called HPA axis dysfunction or adrenal fatigue), brain fog, gut problems, and mental health issues, among others. If you remove a freckle from the tip of your subject’s nose and it turns out later that they loved seeing it, you can simply delete that one local adjustment without having to re-edit the entire photo.īecause the edits you make to an image aren’t actually altering the pixels, it’s possible to copy and paste entire editing presets from one photo to another. It even became possible to do some localized retouching non-destructively. Instead of a linear, destructive editing process that altered the pixels in your image, each individual edit became a separate entity. If you were 95% of the way through your edit and then wanted to go back and change something crucial like the white balance, you simply adjusted the white balance slider, and none of the other edits you had made were affected. ![]() This was utterly transformative for the world of digital photo editing. Non-destructive edits don’t actually alter the pixels within an image – they act like filters that change how the image is displayed, and they can be adjusted later without having to start the editing process from the beginning. Lightroom came along and changed all that by emphasizing non-destructive editing techniques for RAW photos. You opened a single image to work on, processed it until you were satisfied with the result, and then saved and exported it for use in whatever project you were working on. The Lightroom Classic CC Workflowīefore Lightroom, most photo editing happened entirely within an editor like Photoshop. The newer cloud version hasn’t gained the same user base as the original version, and the Classic CC version is what most people mean when they refer to Lightroom without specifying which one they mean. So far they’ve continued to update it regularly with optimizations and new features, but it’s still possible that they’ll wind up treating it as ‘end-of-life’ software.Īll of this is a long way to say that “Lightroom” can refer to two very different programs, but for the purposes of this review, I’m going to stick to comparing GIMP to Lightroom Classic CC. I guess they were trying to capitalize on the existing Lightroom brand loyalty, but many users became worried that Lightroom Classic would soon be discontinued.Īdobe claims they intend to support it over the long term, but they have a history of failing to keep these sorts of promises. I’m not sure what Adobe’s reasons for this naming decision were, but it wound up just creating a great deal of confusion. It forced users to store all their images in the Creative Cloud storage system, but as a result, it also gained some unique abilities like automatic image keyword tagging, powered by the Adobe Sensei machine learning algorithm. Lightroom offered cataloging and non-destructive general adjustments, while Photoshop excelled at localized edits.Īdobe Photoshop Lightroom went through six versions, but instead of releasing version 7.0, it was rebranded as Lightroom Classic CC to line up with the launch of the Creative Cloud platform that redefined the entire Adobe software ecosystem into its current subscription model.Īt the same time, a cloud-focused version of the app was released with the name Lightroom CC. Lightroom was originally released under the name “Adobe Photoshop Lightroom”, due to the closely linked workflow created by using Photoshop and Lightroom together. Development began in 1999, just three years after the first version of GIMP was released, but it wasn’t finally seen by the public until 2006, and even that was only a beta version. ![]() Lightroom is one of the original photo editors designed from the ground up for handling non-destructive RAW photo workflows. ![]() There is another version of Lightroom known simply as Lightroom CC, but it’s newer and not nearly as popular as the original.įeeling a bit confused? After that I created routine where I set, when I press button, run that scene, and 2 separate actions, turn off TV (with few seconds delay), and second action is turn off led strip (with few more seconds delay). In this scene, I set TV to switch to “TV” (so standard terrestrial channels) because in that way it looses connection with HUE sync box, and box goes to sleep. ![]() What I ended up doing was creating 1 scene where all “things” turn off, except TV. If you want to create 2 scenes (and one of them includes “Turn TV off”), ST doesn’t allow to add second scene into a routine. So, if you want to make 2 actions (and one of them includes “Turn TV off”), ST doesn’t allow second action. I’m not completely satisfied with end result, but for now it will work. Sorry for long post, and thank you for any ideas.Īfter few days of playing with this, I finally managed to solve it. ![]() So, any ideas how to solve this simple action, without WebCoRe (as I said, I really don’t like to spend hours of learning how to do it for 1 simple action, and I’m not much of a programmer), and without IFTTT (as I really don’t like to pay them monthly fee just for shutting everything off before going to bed)? But even when I did 2 scenes, as they both include some TV action, it doesn’t let me use both of them.įor now I do it with to actions “press” and “held” but that is not solution, as when I want to go to bed, I’m usually tired, and thinking about what type of pushing that button I have to preform first is not good way of quickly slipping to bed If I want to turn it on, then I can do other actions but if off is included, nothing else can be set in this action. I did it like that because when I use TV in routine and want to do 2 things (1 of them is turn TV off) it doesn’t let me to switch to TV channels and then to turn TV off. And then I tried to set routine when I press button, to run scene (turn TV to TV) and then to run scene “turn all off”. I set scene “turn all off” (including turn TV off), I set scene turn TV to TV (because when I do that, Sync box turns off). So as I realised I cannot turn off Sync box if I’m watching it, I have done next: HDMI from Nvidia Shield to Hue Sync box, from Hue Syncbox to Soundbar, and from Soundbar to TV (eArc ports).Īs I am really basic user of Smartthings, and would like to be average consumer type, plug and play out of the box but whatever I touch in Smartthings, forwards me to some sort of programming that I am not keen on. There is setting in HUE SYNC app “CEC power state detection” - Use CEC to detect your TV’s power state to switch the Hue sync box on or off accordingly - and that is enabled. That includes Nvidia Shield (2017 I think), Samsung soundbar (HW-Q800AWWB-1009.2), Syncbox (HSB1), Samsung TV (UE65TU8502UXXH), and all apps asociated with that equipment. I have checked all CEC settings, on all equipment, and to me everything looks fine. And that causes lightstrip that is working (and syncing) as TV backlight, to stay on. But when I’m watching anything on Nvidia Shield, and then push that “kill switch” everything shuts down except Sync box. When I’m watching standard TV channels everything works fine. I use Tradfri dimmer (2-button one), and I made routine (when I press button) to turn off all lights and a TV. I just want when I go to bed, to shutdown everything in livingroom. What I want should be very basic automation/routine, and it is, but it gets me headache As title says I have problem with Sync box (I think that is the problem). ![]() ![]()

This multidecadal periodicity coincides with changes in several other geophysical observations, especially the length of day and magnetic field. We compared this recent pattern to the Alaskan seismic records of South Sandwich Islands doublets going back to 1964 and it seems to be associated with a gradual turning-back of the inner core relative to the mantle as a part of an approximately seven-decade oscillation, with another turning point in the early 1970s. ![]() This globally consistent pattern suggests that differential inner-core rotation has recently paused. Here we analyse repeated seismic waves from the early 1990s and show that all of the paths that previously showed significant temporal changes have exhibited little change over the past decade. This rotation has been inferred from temporal changes between repeated seismic waves that should traverse the same path through the inner core. Differential rotation of Earth’s inner core relative to the mantle is thought to occur under the effects of the geodynamo on core dynamics and gravitational core–mantle coupling. ![]() ![]() ![]() I used to not want to play my guitar because tuning it was such a pain, but then I got this app and now it’s SO fast!
